The Cocoon, Wood County’s only comprehensive domestic and sexual violence agency and emergency safe shelter, will host its annual fall fundraiser at Nazareth Hall on Thursday, Nov. 5.
“Kaleidoscope: An Evening Celebrating Creativity and Hope” will feature original artworks by local and national artists. The call for art is open to U.S. artists ages 18 and over and all media will be welcome.
The theme for the evening is inspired by the colorful name for a flock of butterflies. Artists are encouraged to enter works that reflect this uplifting and vibrant spirit. All media, styles, sizes, and career levels are welcome. Artworks will be offered by silent auction at the event on Nov. 5 to raise funds to support programs and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence that The Cocoon serve.
The call for art is currently open with submissions due by Sunday, Sept. 20, at 11:59 p.m.
To submit up to three artworks for consideration, artists are to fill out the submission form by following this link. Images can be shared via link in the artist submission form or emailed to r.guidera@thecocoon.org with the subject, “(Name) Kaleidoscope submission.” Artists will be notified by Thursday, Oct. 1.
