BG man arrested after allegedly pulling knife during argument

Bowling Green Police were called to the 1000 block of Third Street on Tuesday (9/15) around 10:30 p.m., for a report of a man who had pulled a knife on someone.

According to witnesses, a verbal argument about dogs took a turn when Charles Peoples, 68, allegedly presented a knife, briefly rolled forward in his mobility scooter toward the other man, then turned and left the scene.

Peoples reportedly denied having a knife initially. But officers located the knife under landscaping. Peoples was arrested for aggravated menacing, obstructing official business, and tampering with evidence, then was taken to Wood County Jail.
