From TIMOTHY’S PERRYSBURG FOUNDATION
Presented by Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation, the Discovers Music Series will open the 2026-27 season with the appearance of a newly created vocal jazz quartet, The Four of Us, Sunday afternoon, September 27 at 3 p.m. in the church at at 871 East Boundary St. Perrysburg.
The concert is free. Donations are welcomed.
Comprised of veteran Toledo area musicians, Lori Lefevre, Lisa Young, Chris Buzzelli and Kevin Eikum, these versatile performers will present an afternoon recital of delightful and fascinating vocal arrangements. Buzzelli penned many of the ensembles arrangements.
Familiar to Toledo audiences, Lefevre, Young and Eikum have performed for many years with the Sixth Edition. Eikum, an in demand bassis bassist and guitarist Buzzelli are regulars with the Toledo Jazz Orchestra. All have performed with a plethora of local jazz and classical ensembles, including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Masterworks Chorale.
Buzzelli, a longtime faculty member at Bowling Green State University, has recently taught jazz studies at the University of Michigan. The audience can expect to hear great jazz standards, original tunes and popular songs in a variety of musical styles.
