How fortunate we are to live in a county that has beneficial services available for older adults provided by the Wood County Committee on Aging. The programs offered include nutritious meals, reliable transportation to medical appointments, educational programs, support for caregivers, or simply providing a place to engage with peers. As our mother aged and was no longer able to get out, we found the delivered meals to be a tremendous support.
These services cannot continue to be provided, though, without a yes vote on the Wood County Committee on Aging’s 1.0 mill renewal levy. A renewal levy does not increase taxes but is a continuation of what we already pay.
Please vote yes on Nov. 3 to enable the Wood County Committee on Aging to continue to serve our neighbors, family members, veterans, retirees, and those seniors who need this assistance the most.
