Country Garden Club of Perrysburg is currently accepting proposals for its 2027 community projects grants.

These grants may be awarded to nonprofit, government, civic organizations, and schools whose endeavors align with the vision and mission of Country Garden Club, according to Pam Kistler, chair of the club’s community project program.

“We will also consider a proposal from a private individual if the endeavor aligns with our mission and benefits the public,” Kistler said.

“Country Garden Club’s vision is to be a recognized leader in the beautification of Perrysburg and the preservation of northwest Ohio’s natural environment through education, collaboration, advocacy, and funding,” Kistler continued. “Our mission is to promote the knowledge of horticulture and conservation and to enhance the community’s natural environment.”

Project proposals are available on the club’s website at www.cgcperrysburg.com. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Jan. 15. Questions may be directed to cgccommunityprojects@gmail.com.

In 2026, Country Garden Club provided $60,000 in funding for projects proposed by eight community organizations. They include: Black Swamp Conservancy; Perrysburg Composts; Toledo Day Nursery; Wood County Parks; Isaiah 117 House; 577 Foundation; Boys & Girls Club; and Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation.

The Country Garden Club’s annual trunk show, held each October, provides the majority of funding for the club’s community projects.
