The Wood County jail had its annual inspection by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections on Oct. 5, 2017. Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn received a letter last week notifying him that the jail is in compliance with all 113 standards checked by the state.
Wasylyshyn gave credit to the deputies and staff working in the jail, and to the Wood County Commissioners for appropriating funding to properly operate the facility.
