Erin Konecki, Emergency Management Agency deputy director for Wood County, has issued the following advisory:
A wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service Cleveland for Northwest Ohio from 7 a.m. Wednesday morning (Nov. 27) into early Thursday morning. Southwest winds 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Chance of precipitation is 70% Wednesday and is estimated between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.
Please advise, gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Ensure your outdoor objects are secure. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may be possible. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Please take this advisory into consideration when planning your holiday travel. The Wood County EMA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as available.
