Erin Konecki, Emergency Management Agency deputy director for Wood County, has issued the following advisory:
Unfortunately we are projected to get 2-3 inches of rain over the next few days (Thursday night through Saturday night). At this time we are anticipating rain, but until the models are firmer, snow is still a remote possibility. NWS Cleveland is asking we continue to monitor for updates as the system gets closer.
The ability for rain to drain will be key to prevent flooding. Again, now is the time to make sure sump pumps are in working order, drains and drainage systems are clear of debris. If you are in an area which typically floods, today is the day to remove anything that could be damaged.
