Bowling Green Police Division joined in the pursuit of a vehicle driving the wrong way on Interstate 75, Sunday around 3 a.m. The driver, Jacob Halko, 21, of Bowling Green, was arrested after his vehicle crashed into a ditch.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of the 2011 Toyota Camry, which was northbound in the southbound lanes of I-75. BGPD joined the pursuit as the vehicle exited I-75 in Bowling Green, headed eastbound on East Wooster Street, then southbound on South Dunbridge Road.
The vehicle crashed at South Dunbridge Road and Napoleon Road, and ended up in a ditch.
Halko was arrested by the sheriff’s office, and was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and failure to comply with orders of a peace officer.
