From NAMI Wood County
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County will host the 4th annual Remembrance Event to honor those who have lost their battle with mental illness in Wood County.
The event will be held Friday (Sept. 6) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Wood County Museum’s Herb Garden at 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green.
NAMI Wood County started the event in 2021 after dedicating a memorial bench in loving memory of individuals affected by mental illness in Wood County.
If you have lost a loved one due to their mental illness, NAMI Wood County invites you to pay tribute to your loved one with a brief program and reflection. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to by calling the office at 419-352-0626 or emailing info@namiwoodcounty.org.
NAMI Wood County offers a variety of free programming for Wood County residents throughout the year. There are also additional ways to get involved such as Chip-in Days to assist staff with projects such as folding brochures, preparing mailings and organizing the office. Chip-in Days are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
