GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will hold its annual Holiday Celebration on Dec. 4, at Bowling Green Country Club beginning with social time at 3:30 p.m. Program for the afternoon will be the BGHS Madrigals, directed by Beth Vaughn. This is the 10th year the Madrigals have entertained the club.
President Kim Roessner will introduce our musical guests, welcome members, and begin the regular meeting. Mary Callahan Boone will provide the afternoon’s inspiration. Members are reminded to bring a book for children from birth to 18 years for the donation drive on behalf of Wood County Job & Family Services. If members have completed blankets for Project Linus, Carol Ballard will accept them at this time.
Members will enjoy an appetizer bar, after which a brief business meeting will update and plan ongoing club projects through the upcoming months. Susan Enright will report on results of the Holiday Arts & Craft Show; Kathy Mull will update members on the participation in Wreaths Across America scheduled for Dec. 14. Hostesses for the evening are Linda Moore, Kathy Schultz and Candace Moore . Designated charity for the evening is The Cocoon, and the club will make a donation of $200 to the organization on behalf of members.
