Amanda Dean, 31, of Northwood and formerly of Bowling Green passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Friday November 4, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a courageous fight with cancer.
Amanda was born in Gainesville, Georgia to Henry and Shirley (Anderson) Umbel. She married Andrew Dean on February 2, 2007 in Bowling Green, Ohio and he survives her in Northwood. Also surviving is her mother Shirley Greeno; children: Anna Umbel and Hayden Dean; grandmother Letta Anderson, stepfather: Kevin Greeno; stepbrothers and stepsisters; her best friend Sam Sayler and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Henry.
Amanda loved motorcycle rides, was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and collected dolphin items. She loved her children more than anything. She loved her Friday lunch dates with Andrew and attending Wednesday night service dinners at St. Marks Lutheran Church with her family when they still lived in Bowling Green. Even though Amanda is no longer with us, her smile and joy that she brought everyone she came in contact with will be a memory that will live on for a life time.
Visitation for Amanda will be on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 1:00 PM until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Memorial contributions may be made in Amanda’s honor to the Wood County Humane Society.
