From BROWN BAG FOOD PROJECT OF WOOD COUNTY
Bowling Green Beer Works will be launching a special beer created specially to benefit the Brown Bag Food Project of Wood County.
Chai Latte Stout will be tapped Oct. 15, 5-8 p.m. at the BG Beer Works brewery, 322 N. Grove, Bowling Green. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will go directly to Brown Bag Food Project, as will a portion of the brew’s sales while it lasts.
In addition, the State Bank GIVES truck will be there with soft pretzels and nachos, with all proceeds going to the Brown Bag Food Project.
“This is just another example of how local businesses support the people of Wood County,” said Amy Holland, director of the Brown Bag Food Project. “I’m always amazed at how generous the community is, and how supportive they are of our mission.”
“It is our pleasure to work with the folks at Brown Bag,” said Justin Marx, owner and brew master for BG Beer Works. “I’ve known Amy from the start and know they are grassroots all the way. They identified a need in the community and work hard to serve it.”
The Brown Bag Food Project was established in 2014 to provide food, toiletries and pet food to people in urgent need. The all-volunteer organization currently serves as many as 400 Wood County residents each month.
