From BOWLING GREEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and Children’s Resource Center are excited to announce the official ribbon-cutting for its new crisis center on Monday, Aug. 10, at 1 p.m., at 1045 Klotz Road.
CRC invites all community members to attend the ribbon-cutting and learn more about programs being offered. The new R. Anthony Marcson Center will be located behind its current agency building, which will allow close collaboration between programs and easy access for past and current clients that may benefit from the services. An additional 10-12 positions will open at this location, and 18 positions will transfer to the new crisis center.
This event is free and open to the public, with registration open at bgchamber.net/rsvp.
In partnership with the Wood County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board, this is a pivotal project in the enhancement of northwest Ohio’s crisis continuum for youth. The center will provide crisis stabilization care to youth in Wood County and surrounding areas. It will include 16 rooms, 10 traditional CRU beds and six intensive care beds for youth who require longer-term stabilization, up to three months. The crisis center will include shared areas, therapy rooms for both group and individual treatment, a full kitchen, dining, and family spaces for visitation.
The opening of the crisis center is particularly significant in 2026, as CRC also marks its 50th anniversary and 50 years of dedicated services to the youth of Wood County and surrounding families. CRC proudly recognizes the impact it has made and continues to make in the community thanks to its partners, staff, and the families it supports.
