From BG DOG PARKS
A “Dog Day Afternoon fun-raiser” to support the BG Dog Park on Ridge will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Brewing Green, 322 N. Grove St. Cornhole and other outdoor games will be available. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor spaces at the brewery.
A variety of themed baskets will be raffled. Among them will be ones for flamingo fanciers, ice cream lovers, and fans of anything chocolate. Featured raffle prizes include two cornhole sets.
For every beer purchased that afternoon, Tyler Householder, the owner of Brewing Green and Jac & Do’s Pizza, will donate $1 to Friends of BG Dog Parks, the nonprofit organization that operates the newly opened park.
The organization is raising funds to add amenities to the park, such as benches, shade trees, agility equipment, and a walking path. Funds raised from the “Dog Day Afternoon” event will be put toward construction of a pavilion that will provide shade for both the small and large dog areas.
