BG man charged with OVI after drive-thru worker reports alleged intoxicated behavior

A Bowling Green man was arrested for OVI after reportedly registering a BAC of 0.227 – which is nearly three times the legal limit.

Andrew Martinez, 39, was charged with OVI and had his driver’s license suspended on Thursday (April 23) around 9:45 p.m., after a drive-thru worker at a fast-food restaurant on South Main Street called to report a motorist slurring words and smelling of alcohol.

When police arrived, Martinez was in the parking lot, reportedly slumped over in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running.
