Bowling Green Police responded to an alleged assault outside the Meijer store at 2111 E. Wooster St., on Sunday (April 26) around 10 p.m.
A man called police to report that as he exited the store a group of four people began shoving him. The man said he went to his vehicle and began recording video on his cell phone. A member of the group then allegedly grabbed his phone and threw it.
The man was not injured, but his phone was cracked. He told police he began following the suspects who were reportedly driving a black Kia sedan and a 2016 Chevy Malibu with a Michigan plate. When he lost sight of the vehicles, he returned to the store to talk with police.
The police division has requested camera footage from the store.
