The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) announces that effective immediately through 3 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, a boil advisory is in effect for a small portion of Perrysburg Township near Oregon Road and the Ohio Turnpike. Areas within the advisory include the mobile home communities of Friendly Village and Meadows of Perrysburg.
During this time, all water used for consumption must first be boiled. Residents are advised to bring water to a boil, let it boil for at least three minutes, then let it cool before use. Water should be boiled for drinking, ice-making, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and for all food preparation.
Crews from the Northwestern Water and Sewer District were in the process of replacing an old hydrant on Oregon Road when the valve failed causing the water to be temporarily shut off during repairs. Although, water service has been restored, but residents within this area are required to boil their water for the next 36 hours.
Please call the District at 1-877-354-9090, if you have additional questions regarding the advisory.
