Carol J. Ernsthausen, age 82, of Luckey, OH passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Bay Park Hospital, Oregon, OH. She was born on September 21, 1933 in Troy Township, OH to Clarence and Mabel (Obermeyer) Rolf. On June 16, 1956 she married Roger E. Ernsthausen in Pemberville, OH, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2010. Carol, a homemaker also worked at the Exchange Bank and Luckey Farmers. A member of Salem Grace United Lutheran Church in Luckey, she was a longtime member of the “Women of the Church.” As well as being an avid sewer and quilter, Carol was a 4-H Leader in Luckey for 10 years and has been a longtime Buckeye fan.
Carol is survived by her daughter: Kay Ernsthausen of Columbus, OH, sons: Randall (Deb) Ernsthausen of Perrysburg, OH, John (Lisa) Ernsthausen of Luckey, OH, grandchildren: Ashley, Matthew, Taylor and Jason, sister-in-law: Donna Rolf of Perrysburg, OH, brothers-in-law: Jim (Joanne Katz) Ernsthausen of Bowling Green, OH, Gerald (Carol R.) Ernsthausen of Spencerport, NY. In addition to her husband Roger, Carol was preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Michael John Ernsthausen, brothers: Dale Rolf, Marlyn “Curly” Rolf and Lloyd Rolf.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 3-7 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH with additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Sander. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
