It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Albert Frum, who left this world on March 4, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on October 19, 1941, Charles lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn, whom he married on November 27, 1964. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Fields; his brother, Robert “Fred” Frum; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Doris (Farrell) Frum; his son, Charles “Brian” Frum; his brother, Kenneth; and his niece, Melissa.
A proud graduate of Valley High School in Masontown, WV, Charles served his country honorably in the United States Marines from 1959 to 1963, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his military service, he worked briefly at Dow Chemical before dedicating his career to the United States Postal Service, from which he retired in 1992. Charles was well-known for his exceptional driving skills, having received the Excellent Driver Award for a remarkable record without a single accident.
His community involvement was also noteworthy. A dedicated member of the Elks Lodge 818, he was honored as the Officer of the Year in 1982-83, served as Exalted Ruler in 1984-85, and received the esteemed Elk of the Year award in 1987-88 for his outstanding service.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the public viewing at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the Elks funeral service at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at 12:45 PM at Webster Township Cemetery, where Charles will be laid to rest with military honors.
