Community invited to paint tiles for Liberty Tree mural mosaic at two events on July 24

From BOWLING GREEN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

There are two events planned on Friday, July 24, that will provide members of the Bowling Green community opportunities to paint tiles for the America 250 Liberty Tree mural mosaic.

Tiles will be available at the Wood County District Public Library on July 24, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and at FireFly Nights in downtown Bowling Green beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The tiles are part of a public art initiative that celebrates community creativity as part of the 250th anniversary of the country and the city of Bowling Green’s 45th year as a Tree City USA.

The project invites individuals, families, and local organizations to paint their own tiles, which will be incorporated into a 600-tile, 8-feet by 12-feet mural mosaic installation at the Bowling Green City Building, 305 N. Main St.

The mural mosaic project is made possible through the Bowling Green Community Foundation and a matching grant from the Greater Toledo Community Foundation.
