Dallas K. Dean, 83, of Weston, Ohio passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024. He was born on April 14, 1941, to the late Orlando and Mary Louise (Hanna) Dean. He married Marie Mae Fausnaugh on June 22, 1968, and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2017.
Dallas served his Country proudly during the Korean war in the United States Army. After his time in the Army, in 1965 he worked at the Sentinel newspaper. Dallas worked his way up from paper boy to composing for the newspaper. He was a member of the Bowling Green Falcon Club and enjoyed following the hockey and football teams. He loved to travel to Pokagon State Park and Angola, Indiana with his wife and 2 children. He enjoyed going to the Chinese restaurant, Pollyeyes pizza, El Zarape and KFC. Above all he cherished the moments spent with his family.
Dallas is survived by his children, Rodney Dean, of Weston, Ohio, Heather Dean of Weston, Ohio and sister Lynda Dean of Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Mary Louise.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Dean family to help pay for Dallas’s funeral expenses.
A visitation will be held Tuesday September 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio at 408 W. Wooster St. Reverend Gene Sugg will officiate.
