Danny Martin Pockett, 74, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away October 5, 2023. He was born February 18, 1949 in Bowling Green to the late Martin and Glada (Eschedor) Pockett. He married the love of his life Sandra Friess on September 17, 1971 and she preceded him in death November 21, 2021.
Danny worked as a custodian for Bowling Green City Schools for over 25 years. He loved being outside, working in his yard and fishing. He enjoyed tinkering with things and using his artistic talent to create unique masterpieces. He was always up for a good margarita with family and friends. Danny was always happy, incredibly loving and loved telling jokes. His greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by his daughters Dawn (Joseph) Ritzu of Liberty Township, Ohio and Stacy (Jon) Strausbaugh of Monclova, Ohio, sister Darlene (Howard) Miller of Maumee, Ohio and grandchildren Nicole, Adam, Benjamin, Owen and Ethan.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday October 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Interment will follow at Fish Cemetery in New Rochester, Ohio. Visitation will be held Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
