Diana Susan Bowles, 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away September 19, 2024. She was born February 9, 1948 to the late Robert and Mary (Kelly) Michalak. She married Robert Langley who proceeded her in death in 2000. She became lucky in love again and married Arne Bowles on July 7, 2007 and he preceded her in death January 20, 2023.
Diana worked as a juvenile detention officer in Wood County for many years. She adored her dogs and cat. Diana enjoyed spending time watching the birds- especially hummingbirds and cardinals. She also enjoyed spending her time crocheting. Diana loved visiting the Marblehead Lighthouse which held a very special place in her heart. She was an avid supporter of the Wood County Humane Society and the Wounded Warrior Project. Arne and Diana enjoyed spending summers at their camper at Eagle Lake Camping Resort.
She is survived by her son Chad (Karen) Gambrell of Weston, Ohio, Step-Son Brian (Danelle) Langley, special niece Tara Gust, nephew Tyeler, sisters Sherry (Brian) Lusher and Debi (Greg) Smith, grandchildren Tyger Adoure-Zehaim, Brittney King, Christian Gambrell, Morgan King, Desiree Langley, Taylor Gambrell, Marissa Langley, and many great-grandchildren. As well as very special life-long friends Dick & Maxine Beaverson and her good friend Betty.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arne, son Robert James Gambrell III and brothers David Michalak and Robert Michalak.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Wood County Humane Society.
