Diana Rae Carpenter (McGowan) of Bowling Green was born August 3, 1950 went to be with her Lord and Savior October 13, 2026.
Diana’s friends and family have shared many memories of her always being a constant friend and prayer warrior. She was always a phone call away at any moment. She was a woman of strong faith and belief in Gods plan through every struggle that she was faced with. She would sing revival and break out in a prayer sermon anywhere she went.
She leaves behind the Love of her life Thomas Carpenter, her daughter Amy Bowman (Carpenter), the two most precious gems of the earth Corbin and Noah Bowman (her grandsons) and her son-in-law Matthew Bowman who she referred to as her favorite son.
Diana was born and raised in the Cincinnati area along with her siblings Jack McGowan, Doug McGowan (Renee McGowan), Pam Berry (John Berry) and Debbie Davis (McGowan) deceased.
She later married Thomas while attending BGSU. He was the love of her life, her faithful companion and she would proudly proclaim it. Diana remained at BGSU and had her career at the university as an academic advisor in the college of Arts and Sciences, and later served as director. Where she enjoyed helping each student reach their potential. After retirement she enjoyed relaxing at home and reconnecting on the phone with old and new friends. She called it her ministry to pray and check in on everyone. Diana was a proud Grandma and loved to visit with Corbin and Noah and hear all of their stories each morning about practice and school.
The family asks that you celebrate her faith and enjoy all the precious memories and know she is celebrating with our loved ones alongside her Jesus. We would like to extend a special thanks to the Cystic Fibrosis of Toledo, Ohio and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
