Donald E. Allen, 86, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
Donald was born in Portage, Ohio to the late James & Golden “Goldie” (Rogers) Allen. He married Linda (Briggs) Allen on December 10, 1960 in Cygnet, Ohio and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Donald was a member of the Portage Christ United Methodist Church where he served as the church custodian for several years and was a member of the Portage Lions Club. Donald retired from the Wood County Sanitation Landfill. Donald loved spending time with his family and friends as well as his beloved dogs.
Along with his wife Linda, Donald is survived by his daughters: Vicky Allen, of Bowling Green; Beth (Karl) Lowell, of Bowling Green; a son: Michael (Pam) Allen, of Portage; grandchildren: Chad Turner; Brandy Reynolds; Kelsey Allen; Kristen Allen; great grandchildren: Kaelyn Turner; Aiden Reynolds; Jase Reynolds and a sister: Virginia Austin of North Carolina. Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first wife: Betty Frees; two daughters: Cheryl and Susan and two sons: Donald and Jeff.
