Frederick James Hardy

Frederick James Hardy “Fred”, a beacon of inspiration and kindness, passed away on April 20, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 42. Born on June 10, 1981, in Fremont, Ohio, Fred was a beloved father, and cherished brother, grandfather, and friend.

Fred’s legacy is carried on by his children: Cassandra Keck, Arijah Everett, Korinne Hardy, Garrett Bauer, and Gabrielle Hardy; siblings: Melony Gray (John Reardon), Jameson Hardy (Erin Lovins), Paige Hardy (Rollie Alejandro), Mickey Hardy Jr. and Anthony Hill. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Zakari, Kobe, Kylee, and Malakai, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was proceeded in death by his mother Carol Hardy, father James Hardy and granddaughter Elliannah. 

Fred attended Fremont Ross High School and later moved to Toledo, Ohio, where he founded the HA, becoming an inspiration to many. His commitment to sobriety was unwavering, and his perseverance was a guiding light to others facing similar battles. Fred was a man of genuine kindness, always ready to give his last dollar to a stranger in need. His compassion knew no bounds.

Fred found solace and passion in the art of writing poetry, a medium through which he expressed the depth of his soul. He was also an avid collector of comic books and figurines, finding joy and fascination in the stories they told.

Fred’s departure leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him. His gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
