Jeffrey “Jeff” Saylor, 47, of Weston, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 after a courageous battle of cancer.
Jeff was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Richard and Judy (Steinhart) Saylor. He married his high school sweetheart and the love his life Tina (Schooner) Saylor on June 13, 1987 in Wayne, Ohio and she survives him in Weston, Ohio.
Jeff was a 1987 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a baptized member of the Weston Church of Christ. Jeff worked for Eric Palmer Excavating and Trucking and most recently Aurand Tiling and Field Drainage. He also enjoyed his time spent as a truck driver for Wulff Trucking, Palmer Trucking, and Rod Aurand Trucking Companies.
Jeff had many hobbies and interests which included his love of farming, fishing, trap shooting, watching tractor pulling, drag racing, and NASCAR races. He also loved the many family vacations spent at the cabins in Barton City, Michigan. Jeff was a true family man and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family and friends and loved spending time with his granddaughter Addison who was his pride and joy.
Along with his wife Tina, Jeff is survived by his father: Richard Saylor, of Weston, Ohio; daughter: Ashlee (Brad) Strickland, of Weston, Ohio; son: Scott (Courtney Ferencz) Saylor, of North Carolina; granddaughter: Addison Strickland, of Weston, Ohio; sisters: Shelly (Denny) Walston, of New Rodchester; Lori Saylor, of Columbus, Ohio; Dawn (Todd) Steere, of Indiana; Tanya (Ed) Tolles, of Custar, Ohio; Krista Saylor, of Liberty Center, Ohio; Sara Saylor, of Columbus, Ohio; Lindsey (Quentin) Baker, of Fostoria, Ohio; brothers: Derrick (Amber) Saylor, of Sylvania, Ohio and Adam (Whitney Vincent) Saylor; of Whitehouse, Ohio. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Judy (Steinhart) Saylor.
To Celebrate Jeff’s Life, visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gary L. Wackler officiating, in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Interment will follow in the Weston Cemetery.
