John Fredrick Vollmar, 54, of Weston, Ohio passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
John was born on July 24, 1963 In Bowling Green,Ohio to Lawrence and Joan (Ducat) Vollmar.
John was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Weston. He loved to tell jokes, collect sports cards, travel and play scratch off lotto tickets. John was a Chef at the Dinner Theater, of the Club Med Resort in South Florida, he also worked at the Bowling Green Country Club. One of John’s greatest achievements was catering dinners to the private planes of Burt Reynolds and Paul Newman.
John is survived by his father: Larry Vollmar, of Weston, OH; step-father: Robert Compo, of Anaheim CA; his siblings: Penny (Tom) Hanna, of Tampa FL; Cindy (Curtis) Borders, of London OH; Kim Thomas of Weston OH; Tammy Crow, of Wauseon, OH and Shawn Compo of Anaheim CA along with 11 nephews and nieces and 10 great nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his mother: Joan Compo; a great nephew: Brady Crow; brother in law: Dave Thomas and cousin: Tim Davis.
Graveside services will be held for John on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Weston, Cemetery, Euler Road, Weston, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted with the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.
