Between now and midnight Wood County is expected to get little more than 0.2 inches of rain. Around 5 a.m. the rain is anticipated to increase at a rate of about a half inch of rain every six hours until midnight (2.5-2.75 inches total). Currently, the best chance of thunderstorms is Saturday between 10 a.m and 3 p.m. but the possibility of thunderstorms will continue until 3 a.m.
Saturday the wind will begin to increase to 50 mph gusts with sustained winds of 45-55 mph near and after midnight through Sunday morning.
We have been told from NWS Cleveland that Wood County can handle rainfall up to 3 inches with little flooding. At this point we are still only expecting minor flooding in Wood County. Luckily NWS North Webster in Indiana has decreased the rainfall for counties to our west. This will decrease the flow after the rain event coming through our county.
