Michael Ebersole

Michael “Mike” Robert Ebersole, 70, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at Wood Haven Health Care.

Mike was born on January 10, 1956, to Robert and Mary (Lewis) Ebersole, who preceded him in death. Mike was married to Janice (Sharp) Ebersole and together they welcomed their son Kevin.  Following Jan’s passing he later married Deborah (Tampurages) Ebersole with whom he shared many happy years together. Mike was preceded in death by wife Jan, his brother, Jeff Ebersole; and his parent-in-laws, William and Virginia “Ginny” Tampurages.

Mike worked for many years as an auto mechanic before later working in building maintenance. He was a hardworking man who took pride in helping others whenever he could. He found his greatest enjoyment in spending time outdoors. Whether he was fishing, camping, or taking road trips to Amish Country, Mike appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He also proudly served his community as a former volunteer firefighter and took pride in being a former Blue Shirt with the NW Ohio Tractor Pullers Association.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Tampurages) Ebersole; his son, Kevin Ebersole, and daughter-in-law, Brandi; his sisters, Judy (Roger) Boyle and Robin (Dusty) Garwood; his brother-in-law, Michael (Kim) Tampurages; his nephew, Ethan Tampurages; his nieces, Kristy (Lance) Van Vorhis, Sara (Casey) Smith; his beloved cat and companion, Skeeter; and his granddogs, Molli and Maggi, who always held a special place in his heart.

Anyone who knew Mike knew he was quick-witted and could always make people laugh with his funny comebacks and one-liners. More importantly, he had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be private.

Contribution in his honor may be gifted to Bridge Hospice.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Wood Haven Health Care, Bridge Hospice, and Wood County Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness they provided to Mike.
