Coffee Quest 419 generates an estimated $250,000 in economic activity

From DESTINATION TOLEDO

Destination Toledo has announced another successful Coffee Quest 419, a three-month adventure that promotes exploring and patronage at local coffee shops. From March 15 – June 15, coffee lovers checked-in at 31 participating locations, resulting in over $250,000 of estimated economic activity throughout the Toledo region. In Bowling Green, Flatlands Coffee and Juniper Brewing Co. participated in the quest.

The 2026 Coffee Quest 419 saw a record-breaking 5,412 participants sign-up, logging more than 23,300 check-ins. The trail offered participants the chance to win a themed sticker sheet, a “Drink Local Coffee” patch, a commemorative t-shirt, and entry into a grand prize drawing for those who completed the entire quest. A total of 546 participants earned their commemorative t-shirt designed by local graphic designer, Allison Blankenship, and printed locally by sponsor Jupmode.

“It’s amazing to see the adventures that people have on Coffee Quest 419. This is all about the connection people can have together around coffee, tea, food, and more while supporting local businesses,” said Tessa Lackey, marketing specialist and project manager for Coffee Quest 419. “About 16% of participants were from outside the Toledo region this year, so we’re continuing to see visitors [from] the area come enjoy our coffee scene as well.”

Coffee Quest 419 is set to return in spring of 2027 with dates, theme, prizes, and participating shops to be announced by Destination Toledo next year. To stay connected to the local coffee scene and for all the latest updates on the quest, follow @CoffeeQuest419 on Instagram and Facebook.
