Michael J. Firsdon, 64 of Pemberville, OH died April 14, 2017 at U of M in Ann Arbor, MI surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 7, 1952 in Bowling Green,OH, the son of Joseph E. and Betty L (Hill) Firsdon. On November 15, 1986 he married the love of his life Cheryl (Reno) Firsdon, who survives.
A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served in the US. Navy as a Boiler Tech from August 1971 – August 1975. After his discharge, he further served his country four years in the reserves. He was employed by Air Products and Chemicals in North Baltimore, OH for 32 years.
Michael enjoyed with his wife Cheryl wintering in their home in FL, camping, riding and traveling on their Honda trike. He loved his title “Papa” and cherished his time with his three beautiful and precious grandchildren.
Michael will be missed by his loving wife Cheryl, his two daughters Callie Jo Firsdon Strack of Findlay, OH and Amanda Swartz Haas of Bowling Green, OH. Son-in-law Luke Swartz, grandchildren Tyler Swartz (16), Hailey Swartz (9) and Ethan Swartz (4), siblings; Steve Firsdon, Bowling Green, OH , David (Janet) Firsdon, Portage, OH, Linda (Garland) Ward, Akron, OH, Beth (Jim)Brueggemeyer, Odenton, MD and Mary (David) Rife, Pemberville, Ohio, OH Inlaws, Deb (Dan) Serdar, Perrysburg, OH , Darrell (Char)Reno, Tracy, CA and Greg (Joanny)Reno, Monroe, MI. and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Michael will be on Monday April 17, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 &6:00-8:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Michael’s funeral service will be on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors’ will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
