Michael G. Sanderson, 61, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Michael was born on January 9, 1955 in Jamestown, New York to Glenn and Jeannine Sanderson.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy (Kerr) Sanderson, of Bowling Green, Ohio; his mother: Jeannine (Larson) Robinson, of Bowling Green, Ohio; daughter: Katie (Justin) Maxwell, of Columbus, Ohio; sons: Mike Sanderson, of Syracuse, New York; and Eric (Katy) Sanderson, of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchild: Riley Sanderson; sisters: Dianne (Ed) Sitter, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Sherry Holloway, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and a brother Steve (Kate) Sanderson, of McKinney, Texas. Michael was preceded in death by his father Glenn Sanderson.
Michael earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from Bowling Green State University in 1978 and went on to study law and graduated J.D., magna cum laude in 1981 from the University of Toledo. Michael was an attorney and partner with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, in Toledo Ohio. Michael received the Best Lawyers in America Award from 2005-2016. He was a member of the Toledo Bar Association as well as the Ohio Bar Association. Michael was an active member of the Bowling Green Covenant Church. Despite these accomplishments, he considered his greatest to be a loving father, husband, and son.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Funeral Services for Michael will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ohio.
