To the Editor-
A commitment to public education is at the heart of Bowling Green. Maintaining a strong school system is one of our community’s most important values, and a successful public school system is a critical component of our economy.
As the parents of graduates who have built successful careers that began with education in Bowling Green, we feel strongly that we must continue to invest in public schools just as past generations have. This ongoing commitment to the future of our children is part of what makes Bowling Green so special.
Now is an important time to modernize our schools and show that Bowling Green will continue to be among the best places in our region to raise a family. If we can’t join to support public education, we’re selling future generations short.
Modern facilities are essential for students to reach their potential, and Bowling Green is in need of an update. The plan on the ballot is the result of a thorough and inclusive debate about what option would be best for Bowling Green, and it represents a rational and reasonable investment in our community’s future. With each delay, solutions become more costly.
Even though our children are adults, we will continue to proudly support public education. We hope that you’ll join us in voting yes for a new high school.
