The Ohio Department of Transportation District 2 invites the public to attend an open house to learn about a proposed project along a 4.5-mile section of Ohio 64 between the city of Bowling Green and the village of Haskins in Wood County.
The proposed project includes roadway improvements and alignment changes to Route 64 and Belleville Ditch (Haskins Road Ditch), as well as improvements to safety and traffic operations at the intersections of Route 64 at Bishop Road and at Ohio 582 by constructing roundabouts at these locations.
The project is intended to provide long-term infrastructure improvements that reduce maintenance needs and minimize the risk of roadway and guardrail failure associated with the proximity of Route 64 to Belleville Ditch.
The draft feasibility study will be discussed at the open house meeting. Attendees may visit at any time during the designated hours of 4 to 7 p.m. No formal presentation will be given.
Meeting details:
- Date: Wednesday, Nov. 4
- Time: 4-7 p.m.
- Location: Bowling Green Community Center
- 1245 W. Newton Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402
- Classrooms A-B (signage and representatives will guide guests)
During the open house, project team representatives will be available to discuss the results of the draft feasibility study, the analysis of design alternatives, and the recommended preferred alternatives for the project.
Construction of the roundabouts could begin as soon as 2029. The construction schedule for the Route 64 and Haskins Road Ditch improvements is pending the availability of funding for future phases of the project.
