As the nation prepares to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, communities across the country are planning events that celebrate history, patriotism, and community spirit. In Perrysburg, the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation (PRCF) has stepped forward with a $10,000 contribution to become one of three signature sponsors of Perrysburg’s America250 celebration. The other signature sponsors are Historic Perrysburg Inc. and the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce.

“This celebration is about bringing our community together while honoring the history and values that connect us,” said Jack Sculfort, PRCF executive director. “We’re proud to support events that create lasting memories for residents and families while celebrating Perrysburg’s unique place in American history.”

Perrysburg’s America250 celebration began earlier in 2026 with Downtown Perrysburg Inc.’s Winterfest and the Memorial Day parade. Upcoming events include the Great Perrysburg Treasure Hunt from May through August; America250 weekend on June 26 & 27 at the Town Center at Levis Commons, featuring a free concert by Crystal Bowersox, a 2.5 mile run, white and blue fun run, and classic car show; a Perrysburg community picnic at Fort Meigs Historic Site on Sept. 19; and Historic Perrysburg Inc.’s free “Sips and Stories” trolley tours highlighting Perrysburg’s historic sites on Oct. 24.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation. Established in 1986 as a 501(c)(3) organization and the philanthropic arm of the Perrysburg Rotary Club, the foundation has dedicated itself to enhancing the quality of life throughout the greater Perrysburg community.
