Timothy J. York, 62, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday March 8, 2020. He was born March 3, 1958 in Spokane, Washington to J.C. and Georgia (Stearns) York. He married Della Street on October 26, 1986 and she survives him.
Tim graduated from Northwestern High School in Kokomo, Indiana. He then went on to attend Ball State University where he obtained his undergraduate and master’s degrees. He was a board member and coach in the Bowling Green Youth Baseball program at Carter Park. He loved playing basketball and watching Falcon athletics, MAC Basketball and Ohio State Football. He enjoyed boating with his family on Lake Erie and Lake Cumberland. His greatest joy in life came from the time he spent with his family and he was very excited to become a grandfather in a few short months.
Along with his wife of 33 years, Della, Tim is survived by his children Chelsea York, Nichole (Ryan) Barbour and Sean York, one sister and one brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Georgia York.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 15, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. His funeral service will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Doug McKinney will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
