A Toledo man was arrested Sunday (Aug. 9) in Bowling Green after he allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue.
BG Police arrested Khalil Reynolds, 21, on Fairview Avenue near Van Camp Road, around 10:10 p.m., as he was leaving the apartment. He was charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence.
When Reynolds exited his vehicle, he reportedly had a handgun in his waistband. There was no magazine in the gun, and no round in the chamber.
A caller from the apartment reported to police that Reynolds had pointed a firearm at her and threatened her. There were two children under the age of 3 in the room when this occurred, she said.
Reynolds reportedly told police that after arguing with the woman at the apartment, he got his gun from the closet before leaving. He told police that he realized the laser was on, so he tried to turn it off, and the woman may have mistakenly thought he was pointing it at her. He reportedly said the magazine was in the trunk of his vehicle.
However, the woman told police the magazine was in the gun as he pointed it at her. She also told police that as Reynolds left the apartment, she watched him open the trunk of his vehicle before getting in the vehicle.
Reynolds was taken to Wood County Jail.
