United Way of Greater Toledo plans to celebrate 211 Day with a happy hour fundraiser series. The public is invited to join in for casual fundraising events, to learn about 211, and to network with donors and volunteers.
The event in Wood County is scheduled at Arlyn’s Good Beer, 520 Hankey Ave., Bowling Green, on Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m.
This is the local and national day of recognition for 211, a free information and referral service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. United Way is encouraging area residents to learn more about the service and how it might help them, family and friends, neighbors, employees, and coworkers.
Visit 211nwo.org to search the database, review 211 counts data, download free guides, or connect with a community resource advisor.
People attending the happy hours can meet United Way and 211 staff, network with community advocates, get access to resources and learn about the 211 database of more than 800 organizations and 2,300 programs. To learn more, visit www.211nwo.org or www.unitedwaytoledo.org
