Wood County Hospital’s pediatrics and child development offices are now part of Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo
Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo and Wood County Hospital announced this morning (April 13) that Wood County Hospital’s Wood County Medical Associates (Pediatrics) and Center for Child Development offices are now part of Nationwide Children’s – Toledo. This transition expands access to high-quality pediatric care and specialized services for children and families in Bowling Green and surrounding areas.
“This is an exciting step forward for pediatric care in our region,” said Stan Korducki, president of Wood County Hospital. “Families will continue to see the same trusted providers and staff at the same locations, now supported by the expertise and resources of Nationwide Children’s – Toledo.”
Wood County Hospital, a non-profit community hospital in Bowling Green, provides comprehensive medical services to children and adults in the community. Nationwide Children’s – Toledo is an extension of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, the nation’s second-largest children’s hospital and a Top 10 Honor Roll member on U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 “Best Children’s Hospitals” list.
Nationwide Children’s – Toledo provides pediatric primary care at locations across Northwest Ohio, offers a wide range of pediatric specialty services locally and partners with community organizations to improve whole-child health.
The two health care organizations established an affiliation in 2021 to collaborate on programs that ensure pediatric patients receive the highest quality, most cost-effective care. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to serving all children, regardless of their ability to pay.
“Our collaborative partnership with Wood County Hospital has always focused on what’s best for kids and families,” said Jennifer Strauss, vice president of Nationwide Children’s – Toledo. “By bringing these practices into our network, we’re ensuring families have access to the highest quality care close to home while continuing to strengthen pediatric services in the community.”
All current services will continue without interruption, and patients will see the same familiar providers and staff, now backed by the expertise and resources of Nationwide Children’s – Toledo.
