From WOOD COUNTY JUVENILE COURT
Wood County Juvenile Court offices will be closed on Thursday, July 2, from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. due to a roof project. The juvenile detention center will remain open but will have limited access. People are asked to call ahead before visiting the building that day.
The Wood County Juvenile Court by law has jurisdiction over juvenile delinquency and unruly cases; juvenile traffic cases; abuse, neglect, and dependency cases; paternity, custody, and child support cases; as well as limited adult criminal cases. The court administers a variety of programs related to these cases and also oversees the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center. The court is set up by departments, which include the clerical department; probation department; juvenile detention center, the Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardian Ad Litem (CASA/GAL) program; and the fiscal department.
