High school leadership program collecting donations for Brown Bag Food Project

From BOWLING GREEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s High School Leadership program is partnering with the Brown Bag Food Project for a community-wide food drive aimed at fighting food insecurity in Bowling Green.

This initiative seeks to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to directly support local families in need.

With 14% of Wood County residents experiencing food insecurity, the Bowling Green Leadership team, comprised of local high school juniors and seniors, is taking action to make a difference.

The food drive is taking place Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 28, with donation drop-off locations at Grounds for Thought, Juniper Brewing Compnay, BG Schools Foundation office, Call of the Canyon, and the BGHS Main Office.

Community members are encouraged to donate canned goods and packaged food items. Monetary donations are also accepted, and more details on how to donate financially can be found on the attached flyer, which includes a QR code for easy access to donation options.

The Brown Bag Food Project is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to Wood County residents. By partnering with them, the Bowling Green Leadership team aims to raise awareness of food insecurity while actively contributing to a meaningful cause.
