From BOWLING GREEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The 2026 Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s high school leadership class project is a “BG Sports Extravaganza,” which will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 1 – 3 p.m., at Kenwood Elementary, 710 Kenwood, Ave. Inspired by the students’ belief in the powerful impact of sports on their own lives, they also recognize the barriers that others face – early exposure and financial access. The event aims to break both of these barriers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet BGHS and BGSU athletes and learn more about the many sports Bowling Green has to offer elementary-age students. There will also be food trucks, sports activities, raffles, and more.
People can get involved by hosting a demonstration station showcasing a sport or a skill. They can also make a financial contribution to support participation opportunities. To create a station, email the students at bg.sports.extravaganza@gmail.com. To contribute financially, visit https://desktop.livesourceapp.com/events and scroll down to select the “BG Sports Extravaganza” event. People can also donate gently used sports equipment.
The class would also like to encourage all elementary students to come out, explore, and have fun.
