Bowling Green Police were called to remove three people from places they should not have been last week – on the roof of the old South Main School, and in the bed of an ODOT truck.
On Wednesday (April 2) around 6:40 p.m., someone reported seeing juveniles on the roof of the old elementary school in the 400 block of South Main Street.
Police were able to arrest two of the boys, ages 14 and 15, and charged them with criminal trespassing and obstructing official business because they reportedly initially ran from officers. The boys were taken to Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
On Thursday (April 3) around 6:14 a.m., police were called to the Ohio Department of Transportation in the 300 block of East Poe Road, for an intoxicated man standing in the bed of an ODOT work truck.
When police arrived, they reportedly found the 20-year-old man with his pants and jacket ripped, muddy and wet, in the bed of the truck. When police asked for his ID, the man initially handed them a debit card.
The man reportedly told police he had no idea how he had gotten there or why he was in the truck bed. It was noted that he reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol, and had difficulty performing field tests.
He was arrested for criminal trespassing, underage under the influence, disorderly conduct for being intoxicated and unable to care for himself, and was taken to Wood County Jail.
