Micheline L Hoepf

Micheline L. Dariano Hoepf, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away April 24, 2025. She was born June 23, 1929 in “Little Italy” in Tiffin, Ohio. She was the 8th of 11 children born at home to Francisco and Mariantonia (Giaruffa) Dariano, Italian immigrants whose names are engraved on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor at Ellis Island. She married Raymond I. Hoepf on June 24, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Tiffin, Ohio. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, of Calvert High School, Tiffin as Salutatorian, and Purdue University as a Registered Nurse.

She was employed at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, then Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green and retired from Wood County Health Department in 1994. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, served as a Eucharist Minister, Lector, SVDP volunteer, and at funeral luncheons. She was a member of Cursillo, Red Hattitudes of Wood County, Wood County Historical Society and a Charter Member of Sacred Heart Church, Fremont, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond on September 20, 2023. They were married 73 years. She is survived by their children: Timothy M., Bowling Green; Terence R. (Charmagne), New Rochester; Toni, Columbus; Thomas F., Chicago; and Todd R. (Julie), McClure. Grandchildren: Lauren (Jay) Threet, Michael (Kathleen) Hoepf, Benjamin, Madeline, Leigh, Chase, Garret and Hunter Hoepf. Great-grandchildren: Gemma and Jude Threet and Leo Hoepf. Brother: Frank (Rita) Dariano, Tiffin and sister: Helen Gaietto of Tiffin and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and spouses: Matthew (Cornelia, Anthony (Rosemary) and Joseph (Juanita) Dariano, sister Carmella (Died at age 6), sisters and spouses: Joanna (Anthony) Pacifico, Mary (Thomas) Strasser, Carmella (Donald) Corthell, Rosemary (Robert) Cool and brother-in-law: James Gaietto.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. A Rosary service will be conducted Tuesday night at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday April 30, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tiffin, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to St. Aloysius, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Bridge Hospice.
