Wood County Health Department presented this year’s Clean Plate Awards on Thursday.
The 2025 Clean Plate Awards will be presented to 35 licensed food facilities out of more than 800 in Wood County. These food facilities have been dedicated to upholding excellent sanitation and food safety knowledge within their operation.
The recipients will receive a certificate of excellence and recognition of excellent performance in food safety from the Wood County Health Department. The winners of the Clean Plate Award will also receive a decal to display at their facility.
“The Clean Plate Award indicates to the consumer that the facility takes pride in food safety. The facilities that qualify for and receive this award go above and beyond the minimum food safety standards in their day-to-day operations,” said Lana Glore, director of environmental services at the Wood County Health Department.
This year’s recipients include: American Legion Albert Bowe Post # 338, Bowling Green Middle School, Bowling Green Senior High, Buffalo Wild Wings, Call of the Canyon, Chilly Treats, Cinco De Mayo Mexican Bar and Grill, Conneaut Elementary, Crim Elementary, Educare Academy #3, Elmwood Local Schools, First Solar PBG2-Evrest Dining, Frobose Meat Locker, GLCAP Jordan Family Development Center, Kenwood Elementary, Kingston Residence of Perrysburg, Los Toros Catering LLC, McDonald’s – 1470 E. Wooster St., Mike and Aj’z Ice Cream Shack, Myla Marcus Winery, North Baltimore Middle/High School, Northwood Local Schools, Northwood Board of Education, OTR Smokehouse, Primrose School of Perrysburg, Random Act of Walbridge, Rossford Elementary School, Rossford Junior-Senior High School, Tropical Smoothie Café-Rossford, Wood County Committee on Aging-Grand Rapids, Wood County Committee on Aging-Pemberville, Wood County Committee on Aging-Perrysburg, Wood County Committee on Aging-Wayne, Wood County Committee on Aging- Rossford, Wood County Jail, and Wood Lane School-WCBDD.
