Gladys Graceann Baker, 84, of Bowling Green, Ohio has finished the race on this earth Tuesday October 28, 2025 to join her Lord and Savior, as well as her beloved husband Melvin of 62 years, in heaven. She began her journey on March 12, 1941 to Merle and Alma Beck.
Graceann graduated from Westwood High School and the Bowling Green School of Practical Nursing. Her most memorable offices she worked in were with Dr. Wojciechowski and Drs. Peatee and Conrad, retiring in 1994. It was a good thing she had a medical background since raising three rambunctious boys regularly put her skills to work.
Graceann was the type of person that once you met her, you had a friend for life. She often sought you out just to check how you were doing. There was never a person she wouldn’t talk to. She accepted you for who you were, no matter your circumstances, because she saw the value in everyone. Her infectious smile and quick wit will be greatly missed!
Graceann is survived by her three sons Carl, Craig, and Chris (Renee); grandchildren Ryan, Brittany, Eric, Jeremy, Jennifer, Melissa, Dylan and Chloe; and 11 great grandchildren; sister Connie Grilliott, and brother Howard Beck (Terry). She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin, parents, stillborn daughter Theresa, brother John Beck, and sister Judy McAfee. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Kerry Huepenbecker for the exceptional care she helped deliver over the past three years.
Graceann had a servant’s heart and a generous soul. She, along with her husband, lived out their faith by believing it was always better to give than to receive.
