Wood County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Dobson announced that Wednesday the Wood County Grand Jury issued an indictment against Brock Abke, 31, of Perrysburg, for 13 criminal offenses relating to allegations of misconduct with three separate minor children.

Abke is charged with 10 felony offenses of pandering obscenity involving a minor, one felony offense of importuning, and two misdemeanor offenses of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Pandering obscenity alleges that an individual created, reproduced, or published obscene material that includes a minor knowing the character of the material or performance involved. This is a second degree felony and each count subjects an offender to a maximum penalty of eight years in prison.

Importuning is committed when an individual solicits for sex from a minor between 13 and 16 years of age. It is a fifth degree felony with a maximum of one in prison. Contributing charges are misdemeanors of the first degree, each carrying a maximum sentence of six months local incarceration.

Dobson also announced that Anthony Labrador Sierra was indicted by the Grand Jury on charges of forgery in connection with allegations that he used a false birth certificate to induce the Perrysburg Schools to admit him as a juvenile student when he was, in fact, an adult. He is also charged with perjury in connection with sworn statements he is alleged to have made regarding his age and legal status.

Forgery is a felony of the fifth degree, carrying a one-year maximum prison sentence, while perjury is a felony of the third degree, carrying a maximum three-year sentence.

Labrador Sierra is a Venezuelan foreign national and is currently being housed at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. He is awaiting his January sentencing date after pleading guilty to federal charges in connection with false statements he made when purchasing a handgun.

“The charging of these individuals is the beginning of the process,” stated Dobson. “We are grateful to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and Perrysburg Police Department and federal authorities for their diligent work in investigating these cases.”

Both cases have been assigned to Judge Joel Kuhlman and their arraignment date is set for Nov. 13.
