Penta Career Center to host career night and 60th anniversary celebration

From PENTA CAREER CENTER

Penta Career Center will host its career night and 60th anniversary celebration on Monday, Dec. 8, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at its campus located at 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. The event is designed to introduce high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors; middle school students; and parents to the variety of career-technical training options available at Penta.

The event is open to the public to celebrate Penta’s 60th anniversary. Friends and alumni are encouraged to attend to visit Penta’s new E-Mobility building and see the Commons expansion, which were both completed in November. Alumni who register at the event will receive a free 60th anniversary gift.

Students interested in applying for admission to Penta are encouraged to bring their parents to career night. During the event, students and parents will be able to speak with Penta instructors and students, meet Penta alumni, and discuss career opportunities with representatives from business and industry. Various clubs and organizations will also have displays for students and parents to obtain information.

Penta offers 30 career-technical training programs for high school students during their junior and senior years of high school. In addition, Penta offers a year-long Sophomore Exploratory program for students who are interested in exploring career-technical fields during 10th grade.

Penta also provides one-year and two-year program options at satellite and regional locations for area students. These programs include Marketing Education, Teaching Professions, Plumbing/HVAC, Robotics & Automated Systems, Phlebotomy, and Industrial Maintenance.
